After a productive year with two singles and an ep, The Sisters of Mercy embarked on an American tour to culminate that magnificent year after successfully touring Europe. But the band’s various conflicts brought the tour to an end and the band’s first and most interesting cycle came to an end with the departure of second guitarist Ben Gunn, who would later be replaced by Wayne Hussey. This T-shirt is a small tribute to that first line-up that was very important in the musical education of many young people of the time and also to those cassette tapes with live performances of unequal quality that passed from hand to hand among the band’s fans.
